Tiffin - TC JV Baseball provided a dramatic finish for the home crowd on Monday, clinching a 5-3 walk-off victory over Norwalk. With the game deadlocked in the bottom of the seventh inning, RJ Kelley stepped to the plate and delivered a clutch single that drove in two runs, sealing the win in the final frame.

The Tornadoes' victory was built on the back of a dominant performance from starting pitcher Brahm Bolen. Bolen was electric on the mound, racking up 10 strikeouts over six and two-thirds innings. He surrendered just two runs on three hits, keeping the opposition off balance for the majority of the afternoon before Russel Fox entered in relief to help close the door.

Columbian’s offense manufactured runs early through aggressive baserunning. The Tornadoes got on the board in the first inning when a savvy steal of home plate accounted for the game's first run. They regained the lead in the fifth inning, scoring twice after a line out by Brady Renninger and a defensive miscue by the opposition.

The Tornadoes were relentless on the basepaths all day, totaling nine stolen bases. Both Renninger and Bolen led the charge with multiple steals each, constantly putting pressure on the defense. At the plate, Carter Everhart and Bolen paced the team with two hits apiece, while Kelley’s game-winning hit secured his team-high two RBIs.

Despite a late surge from the visitors that tied the game in the top of the seventh, Columbian’s composure in the bottom half of the inning paved the way for Kelley’s heroics. The JV's will welcome Clyde for their next contest.
