Clyde - The Tiffin Middle School girls track team displayed impressive depth and consistency during Monday’s multi-team meet against Clyde, Port Clinton, Old Fort, and Margaretta. While no team scores were recorded, the Tornadoes frequently occupied the top spots on the podium, particularly in the throwing and distance events.

Kami Beaston provided the highlight of the field events, claiming first place in the shot put with a throw of 39’4. Beaston also contributed in the discus, where she secured a third-place finish with a toss of 82’8. In the high jump, Lillianna Donnersbach cleared 4’6 to earn third place for Tiffin.

The Tornadoes’ distance runners showed strength in numbers, taking both the second and third spots in multiple events. In the 800-meter run, Brynn Mover earned second place (2:40.12) just ahead of teammate Grace Welly in third (2:41.97). A similar story unfolded in the 1,600-meter run, as Ella Woodruff took second place (6:07.7) followed by Cora Quinlan in third (6:10.89). On the hurdles side, Emma Donaldson had a busy day, finishing second in the 100-meter hurdles (18.52) and third in the 200-meter hurdles (33.85).

Tiffin’s relay teams were equally competitive, consistently placing in the top three. The 3,200-meter relay team of Mary Haner, Lilly Cramer, Grace Kihorany, and Bailey Droll earned a silver medal with a time of 12:05.66. Tiffin also picked up third-place finishes in the 400-meter relay (Kaydence Stuckey, Kennedy Lawrence, Donnersbach, and Olivia Webb), the 800-meter relay (Jennifer Lacer, Donaldson, Leighton Tanner, and Webb), and the 1,600-meter relay (Moyer, Welly, Quinlan, and Woodruff), capping off a successful outing across the board.
