Norwalk - Columbian delivered a strong showing at the SBC Lake Division Tennis Championships, highlighted by league titles from Brock Siesel at second singles and Parker Nye at third singles, as the Tornadoes earned all-league recognition across much of the lineup.
Siesel opened his tournament with a 6-4, 6-1 win over Clyde’s Connor Eastby, then advanced to the championship with a 6-2, 7-5 victory against Bellevue’s Caleb Martin. In the final, Siesel controlled the match and secured the title with a 6-3, 7-5 win over Norwalk’s Roman Snyder to earn first-team all-league honors.
Nye also battled through a challenging draw at third singles. After advancing to the semifinals, he outlasted Clyde’s Alex Barrett in a three-set match, 6-2, 3-6, 10-7, to reach the championship. Nye then claimed the title with a straight-set victory, defeating Bellevue’s Austin Eisenhauer 6-4, 6-4 to capture the SBC championship and first-team honors.
Columbian picked up additional recognition throughout the lineup. Dravyn Dicken earned second-team all-league honors at first singles after advancing deep into the bracket. The first doubles team of Grant Blonde and Liam Randell also received second-team honors, highlighted by a 6-2, 6-0 win in the quarterfinals to reach the semifinals. At second doubles, Jarrett Jaeck and Brady Miller earned honorable mention all-league recognition, including a three-set victory, 6-4, 4-6, 10-6, during their tournament run.
The Tornadoes finished the day with two individual champions and four all-league selections, capping a strong overall performance at the SBC Lake Division Championships.
