Sandusky - The Columbian Tornadoes turned Wednesday’s matchup into a masterclass of offensive efficiency, cruising to a dominant 16-4 victory. The game swung wide open in the top of the second inning, where the Tornadoes capitalized on defensive miscues to jump-start their scoring. A series of errors allowed five runs to cross the plate before Conner Reese added a sixth with a productive groundout, handing Columbian a lead they would never relinquish.

If the second inning was defined by capitalizing on mistakes, the third was defined by pure power. The Tornadoes unleashed a relentless hitting clinic, starting with Blake Gaulden’s triple down the right field line. The momentum snowballed as Kyle Hepp, Jaxson Little, Jayce Arias, and Johnny Bremyer all followed suit with RBI hits, showcasing a balanced and deep lineup that finished the day with 15 total hits. Bremyer paced the offense with a 3-for-5 performance, while Arias, Gaulden, and Little each accounted for three RBIs.

On the mound, Jamison Woessner provided a steady presence for the Tornadoes to earn the win. Over six innings of work, Woessner surrendered only four hits while racking up eight strikeouts. Conner Reese closed the door in the seventh, throwing a hitless inning of relief to seal the lopsided result.

In addition to their prowess at the plate, the Tornadoes were aggressive on the basepaths, swiping five bags and flashing the leather with a crisp double play. High on the momentum of the double-digit win, the Tornadoes will head to Perkins this Friday for their next contest.
