Tiffin - The Tiffin Columbian girls track and field team put on a dominant display of depth and speed to secure a 77-62 victory over Norwalk. The Tornadoes utilized multiple podium sweeps and strong relay performances to maintain their edge throughout the meet.

Columbian’s sprinters were nearly untouchable, highlighted by a clean sweep of the 100m dash. Ava Newman led the charge with a first-place finish in 13.38, followed closely by Kennedy Wilhelm and Morgan Roach. Newman’s busy day continued in the relays, where she helped anchor both the winning 4x200m (1:55.33) and 4x100m (53.47) teams. Caroline Newlove was another standout on the track, claiming gold in the 200m dash with a time of 26.97 and later leading a podium sweep in the 300m hurdles. Newlove’s winning time of 50.29 in the hurdles was backed by teammates Izzy Thompson and Leah Weingart, who finished second and third, respectively. Thompson also secured a victory earlier in the day in the 100m hurdles with a time of 17.12.

In the distance events, Carmen Lewis proved to be a workhorse for the Tornadoes. Lewis captured first place in the 1600m with a time of 5:43.23 and added a second-place finish in the 3200m. She also contributed to the 4x800m relay's second-place effort alongside Maddie Kelley, Lily Allen, and Emma Musgrave. Kelley added more points to the team total with a third-place finish in the 1600m, while Gabby Hohman took third in the 3200m.

The field events were anchored by Madie Hardina and Abby Lewis. Hardina leaped to a first-place finish in the long jump with a mark of 14-9, while Sophia Miller added a third-place jump. In the high jump, Abby Lewis and Josie Kancler took the top two spots, both clearing 4-6. Ava Newman showcased her versatility by adding a second-place finish in the pole vault to her sprinting accolades. In the throwing events, Tara Duffy provided a consistent scoring punch, taking second place in both the shot put (29-05.25) and the discus (103-02).
