Clyde - Columbian placed sixth at the multi-team boys track and field meet, finishing with 84 points. Perkins narrowly won the team title with 124 points, followed by Oak Harbor (122), Lake (99), Bellevue (97), Clyde (87), Columbian (84), Wynford (30), St. Francis (14), and Max Hayes (4).

Xavier Melick led the Tornadoes with a first-place finish in the 800 meters, winning in 2:02.50. He also added a runner-up finish in the 1600 meters with a time of 4:43.09. Columbian also earned second-place finishes from Jeremiah Dickerson in the 100-meter dash (11.01) and Conner Dukeshire in the 3200 meters (10:35.80).

Marcelino Gallardo added a third-place finish in the 3200 meters, crossing in 10:40.34, while the 4x100 relay team of Jeremiah Dickerson, Dashawn Russell, Amar’e Legrant, and Dazarius Russell placed third in 44.57.

Columbian’s 4x200 relay team of Jeremiah Dickerson, Dashawn Russell, Dazarius Russell, and Amar’e Legrant captured first place with a winning time of 1:31.94. The 4x400 relay team of Dashawn Russell, Melick, Dickerson, and Legrant added a second-place finish in 3:27.93. The 4x800 relay of Marcelino Gallardo, Dukeshire, Owen Hoyda, and Nathan Gaietto placed fourth in 9:18.65.

Additional points came from Lukas Smyser, who finished fifth in the 400 meters (54.44), and Noah Townsend, who placed seventh in the 1600 meters (5:02.60).

In the field events, Drew Neuman placed fourth in the pole vault at 10-0, and Dazarius Russell finished sixth in the long jump with a leap of 17-7.5. Bishop Taylor added an eighth-place finish in the high jump, clearing 5-4.
