TIFFIN – The Tiffin Middle School (TMS) girls track and field team put on a spectacular performance tonight, amassing a massive 261.5 team points to secure a first-place finish in their latest meet. The Tornadoes outpaced Briar Middle School (235), Calvert (20), and New Riegel (9) in a display of depth and top-tier talent.

The meet was highlighted by two school record performances. Kami Beaston delivered a big performance in the Shot Put, taking first place with a toss of 39-11.25—a mark that established a new school record. Not to be outdone, the 4x800 Relay team of Brynn Moyer, Grace Welly, Cora Sharp, and Ella Woodruff also set a new school record, clocking in at 10:55.60 to take first place.

Ella Woodruff was a standout on the track, securing a "triple crown" of first-place finishes. In addition to the record-breaking relay, she swept the distance events, taking gold in the 800m (2:40.81) and the 1600m (5:53.66). She was joined in the winner's circle by Aliyah Link, who won the 400m (1:09.25), and Dixie Allen, who cleared 6-0 to win the Pole Vault. The Tornadoes' relay teams were nearly untouchable, as the 4x200 squad of Jennifer Lacer, Paige Mesnard, Aliyah Link, and Leighton Tanner took first place with a time of 1:59.04, while the 4x100 team earned a strong second-place finish.

Columbian’s depth was evident as multiple athletes earned podium spots across various disciplines. Jennifer Lacer took second in the 200m and third in the High Jump, while Emma Donaldson took third in the 200m and Brynn Moyer added a third-place finish in the 100m. In distance, Cora Quinlan and Cora Sharp joined Woodruff on the 1600m podium, while Grace Welly took second in the 800m.

In the hurdles, Lily Hinke took third in the 100m event and Cora Sharp placed third in the 200m. The success continued in the field as Olivia Cahill took second in the Discus, and Zoey Allen earned double-bronze with third-place finishes in both the Shot Put and Discus. Finally, Kennedy Lawrence rounded out the scoring with a second-place finish in the Pole Vault. With record-breaking performances and scoring in nearly every event, the TMS girls continue to prove they are a force to be reckoned with as the season progresses.
