TIFFIN – Facing a potent offensive performance on Friday, JV Softball showed a competitive spirit and continued to build on their fundamentals during a 22-2 matchup against Mohawk.
The middle of the lineup provided consistent effort for the Tornadoes, as the team combined for nine hits. Audrey Sharp and Autumn England anchored the offense with multi-hit performances, each finishing the day 2-for-3. Their ability to put the ball in play kept the pressure on the defense throughout the afternoon.
The Tornadoes’ scoring was driven by Allie Temples and Kaylani MacDonald, who each recorded an RBI. MacDonald also stood out on the basepaths, leading the team with two stolen bases. As a unit, JV Softball remained aggressive, successfully swiping four bases in total during the contest.
On the rubber, Autumn England worked through four innings and recorded five strikeouts.
JV Softball will look to carry their offensive production on the road this coming week. They are scheduled to travel to Madison Comprehensive for their game matchup on Monday.
