TIFFIN – Despite a standout offensive performance from Blake Tucker, the JV Baseball squad struggled to contain a relentless scoring surge on Thursday, eventually falling 20-7 in a lopsided contest against Bellevue.

The game began as a back-and-forth shootout before the visitors pulled away, capitalizing on a tough day for the JV pitching staff.

After falling behind in the opening frame, TC roared back in the bottom of the first inning, plating five runs on three hits to briefly seize the momentum. The highlight of the night belonged to Blake Tucker, who cleared the bases with a towering triple that drove in three runs.

Tucker finished the day with two hits and a team-high five RBIs. The first-inning outburst also featured a bases-loaded walk by Brahm Bolen and a heads-up play on the basepaths that saw a runner steal home.

The TC offense showed flashes of brilliance throughout the game. Jackson Hohman joined Tucker with a multi-hit performance, collecting two hits of his own.

On the basepaths, the team was aggressive and successful, swiping five bases in total. Connor Donaldson led the charge on the tracks, accounting for two of those stolen bases.

The JV team is scheduled to travel to Madison Comprehensive for their next matchup on Monday.
