Sandusky - Both teams combined for plenty of offense, but Columbian Junior Varsity fell to Perkins 21-10 on Wednesday.

Columbian took an early lead in the top of the first when Audrey Sharp drove in a run with a groundout. Perkins answered with a big bottom of the first, scoring 10 runs to take control. The inning included a bases-loaded walk that brought in three runs.

Perkins added eight more runs in the second inning, highlighted by a two-run triple, along with multiple walks that forced in runs. The hosts added three more in the third inning, including two steals of home and an error.

Columbian rallied late, scoring six runs in the fifth inning. Sharp highlighted the frame with an RBI double as the Tornadoes continued to pressure on the bases.

Sharp and Autumn England led Columbian at the plate with two hits each. Columbian was aggressive on the basepaths, piling up 18 stolen bases. Ariella Banks, Bailey Barnes, Sharp, Lily Banks, England and Tysaiah Zeigler each recorded multiple steals. The Tornadoes also drew five walks.

England took the loss in the circle, striking out six over 4? innings.

Columbian Junior Varsity returns to action Thursday at Bellevue.
