Tiffin - Columbian JV Baseball was overpowered by Liberty-Benton on Tuesday, falling 13-0 after a nine-run fifth inning by the visitors broke the game open.
Libert-Benton scored early, and the Tornadoes were never able to recover, despite strong efforts from their pitching staff. Max Hoyda started on the mound for Columbian, striking out six batters and allowing just two runs over two and one-third innings.
Offensively, Columbian managed just two hits, recorded by Blake Rhodes and Jackson Hohman, but were unable to push any runs across the plate.
Columbian JV will travel to Perkins on Wednesday looking to rebound in their next game.
