Tiffin - JV Baseball could not keep pace Monday night, falling 13-8 to Lexington in a high-scoring contest.

The visitors took control in the top of the third inning, scoring seven runs to break the game open. The rally featured a string of run-scoring hits, including multiple doubles that helped extend the lead.

Jackson Hohman started on the mound for Columbian, allowing seven runs on six hits over three innings while striking out four and walking four.

Columbian collected nine hits offensively. Carter Everhart, RJ Kelley, and Mathis Keifer each recorded two hits to lead the Tornadoes. Kelley, Max Hoyda, and Keifer each drove in a run.

The Tornadoes showed patience at the plate, drawing nine walks, with Brahm Bolen leading the way with three. Columbian was also aggressive on the bases, as Everhart and Kelley each stole multiple bases while the team finished with 10 stolen bases.

Columbian will return to action Tuesday at home against Liberty-Benton.
