CASTALIA — Tiffin Columbian’s Girls Track team turned in a strong all-around performance Saturday, winning the Polar Bear Relays at Margaretta with 90 points.

The Tornadoes edged Port Clinton (82) and Perrysburg (74) in the team standings, using a balanced effort across both running and field events to secure the title.

Columbian picked up first-place finishes in three events, highlighted by victories in both jumping relays and a distance race. The high jump relay team of Nella Hainrich, Josie Kancler and Abby Lewis cleared a combined 13 feet to take first, while Madie Hardina and Ava Newman won the pole vault relay at 16-0. On the track, the 4x1600 relay team of Emma Musgrave, Carmen Lewis, Maddie Kelley and Gabby Hohman claimed first in 24:32.92.

The Tornadoes also turned in several runner-up performances. The 4x800 relay team of Carmen Lewis, Kenzie Felske, Emma Musgrave and Leah Weingart finished second in 10:52.35, while the distance medley relay team of Carmen Lewis, Genna Cleveland, Kenzie Felske and Maddie Kelley placed second in 14:21.18.

Columbian added multiple third-place finishes, including the long jump relay (Madie Hardina, Josie Kancler, Sophia Miller), shuttle hurdles (Izzy Thompson, Nella Hainrich, Abby Lewis, Leah Weingart), 4x200 relay (Kancler, Newman, Caroline Newlove, Kennedy Wilhelm), sprint medley (Morgan Roach, Newman, Newlove, Wilhelm), and the 4x400 relay (Thompson, Musgrave, Weingart, Newlove).

Additional scoring came from a fourth-place finish in the discus relay (Cailey Alday, Tara Duffy, Caroline Lewis), fourth in the 4x100 relay (Kancler, Abby Lewis, Morgan Roach, Newman), fifth in the shot put relay (Alday, Duffy, Caroline Lewis).
