Aigler, Garno Advance to Semifinals at Division II District Championships

NORWALK — Drew Aigler and Mason Garno advanced to the semifinal round during competition at the OHSAA Division II District Wrestling Championships held at Norwalk High School.

Competing at 144 pounds, Aigler opened the tournament with a dominant 18-0 technical fall victory over Vermilion High School. He followed that performance with a pin in 2:30 against Defiance High School to secure his spot in the semifinal round.

At 215 pounds, Garno also earned two victories to move on. He defeated Vermilion High School by major decision, 13-2, before advancing with a 10-5 decision over Celina High School in the quarterfinals.

At 132 pounds, Kael Lawrence saw his tournament run come to an end. Lawrence dropped his opening match to Licking Valley High School by fall in 1:15, then fell in the consolation round to Defiance High School by pin in :53.
