COLUMBUS — Atreyu Sturgill represented Tiffin Columbian High School at the OHSAA Division I State Bowling Championships on Friday at HP Lanes.
Bowling against the state’s top competitors, Atreyu rolled games of 140, 231 and 211 while battling difficult lane conditions throughout the day. Despite frequently leaving the challenging 10-pin — including several late in frames that limited scoring opportunities — Atreyu rebounded with strong adjustments after the opening game.
After a 140 in the first game, Atreyu found a better line and closed with back-to-back high games of 231 and 211, showing resilience against the demanding pattern and competitive field.
The appearance capped a strong season for the Columbian bowler, who earned the opportunity to compete on Ohio high school bowling’s biggest stage.
