The girls wrestling team turned in a strong performance at the sectional tournament, highlighted by two district qualifiers and multiple podium finishes.
Leading the way was Ali Nitecki, who posted a 4-1 record to earn a third-place finish at 130 pounds and advance to the district tournament. Joining her at districts will be Gracyn Brose, who also placed third, finishing 3-1 at 155 pounds.
At 145 pounds, Asialee Ellis battled to a 2-2 record, placing fifth and earning a spot as a district alternate. Taylor Roush added a sixth-place finish at 110 pounds with a 1-3 mark.
Senior Jovey Seville wrapped up her high school career competing at 140 pounds, finishing the day 1-2 to close out her final season on the mat.
Overall, it was a successful day for the team, with multiple athletes advancing and strong efforts across the lineup.
