The Tiffin Columbian High School girls bowling team closed out its season Saturday with a fifth-place finish at the Division I District Championships, posting a total score of 2,791.

Leading the way for the Tornadoes was Mariah Distel, who delivered an outstanding performance with a 561 series. Distel tied for fifth place individually, earning All-District honors and finishing just 29 pins shy of qualifying for the state tournament.

Lucy Weidner added a 418 series, followed by Kaitlyn Distel with 388 and Angela Nominee with 353. Amelia Miller (103), Briana Pryor (101) and the team total of 92 rounded out the scoring.

With a strong postseason showing and an All-District performance from Distel, Columbian caps off another competitive winter on the lanes.
