The middle school track and field teams concluded their season at the state championships this weekend, highlighted by a state title performance from Kami Beaston.

Beaston captured the state championship in the shot put in dominant fashion, recording a new personal-best throw of 44-0.75, over two feet more than her previous best, to earn the title. Her winning throw secured the top spot on the podium against the best competitors from across the state and marked an incredible finish to an outstanding season.

On the track, Ryder Smith competed in the boys 100 meter dash finals and placed 12th overall with a time of 12.05 seconds in a highly competitive field.

The girls 4x800 meter relay team of Brynn Moyer, Grace Welly, Ella Woodruff, and Cora Quinlan finished with a time of 10:44.32, also represented the program well, finishing 13th overall at the state meet.
